Tell us about your bureau, pick a journalist, and walk away. Bureau writes the day's stories, draws the images, records the podcast, and publishes everything to your own website. Your first article goes live before the wizard is done.
We ask the least, deliver the most. While you watch the live progress screen, Bureau drafts your founding journalist's persona, draws her portrait, researches the day, files an article, records a podcast episode, and sends two branded emails. Then you can walk away.
Media-company name, topic, founding journalist, voice. Four inputs on one screen. We slug your domain, pick a curated cover palette, and pre-fill a voice style based on the picker.
Skip the key field and Bureau runs your inaugural article and first podcast episode on our key — so you can see your bureau live before you ever set up a Google AI Studio account. Paste your own Gemini key anytime in Desk → Providers to keep publishing on your scheduled beats. Already have one? Paste it now and the AI bill goes to your account directly — never marked up.
Three minutes after sign-up: a published article on your branded site, a podcast episode in your feed, a journalist with a real face, a name, and a voice — and two emails in your inbox saying so.
Good morning, Hudson Valley. I'm honored to introduce myself as your new anchor correspondent, launching a dedicated local news beat focused on the towns, villages, and hamlets that make our region unique…
Real audio, generated end-to-end by Bureau on a free trial. Publishes to RSS at the moment of mix-down.
Same dashboard. Same editor. Same journalists. One setting picks who hears it: anyone on the open web, or just the named people on your private subscriber list. Run both side-by-side from the same control panel.
For the journalist who left the staff job. The trade publication keeping the lights on. The local newsroom rebuilding after closure. Articles ship daily on your branded site. Podcasts drop to RSS. Public web, public feed, your URL.
For the Chief of Staff. The VC partner. The head of sales ops. Connect your inbox, your calendar, your team's chat, and any internal system you care about. Each morning, a private 8-minute briefing lands in your subscribers' podcast apps — only they can hear it.
Each journalist gets a persona summary, a bio, a hometown, a beat, a default voice, and a stable visual identity. They cover their beat in their voice — across articles, radio spots, and podcast segments. You can have 1, or 12.
Calm, factual reporting on towns, school boards, and the river economy. Voice reads warm and deliberate.
Patient, knowing, reads the second-order effects you'd otherwise miss. Voice reads measured and authoritative.
Forward-leaning, personable, takes the temperature of the room. Voice reads bright and energetic.
Specific, on-the-scene, never theatrical. Voice reads grounded and welcoming.
Most platforms hand you a blank page and a "complete your profile" checklist. Bureau hands you a published article, a recorded podcast episode, and two branded emails — before you've finished signing up.
Your journalists read each day's coverage in their own voice. The episode is mixed and posted to your podcast feed automatically. Apple Podcasts and Spotify pick it up on their next refresh.
Email, calendar, chat, project trackers, your CRM — Bureau pulls daily updates from each one and turns them into stories. If we don't have a built-in connector, you can add one without writing code.
Your AI account is billed by your AI provider — never by us. Bureau charges a flat monthly platform fee and that's the entire bill from us. No middleman markup, ever.
Read at yourname.com. Listen at podcast.yourname.com. Edit at desk.yourname.com. Set up automatically — no DevOps, no plugin marketplace, no Substack tax.
Run a public site for the world AND a subscribers-only daily briefing for a handful of named people — from one dashboard, one roster of journalists, one bill.
The AI bill goes to your AI provider directly — Bureau never marks it up. The price below is what you pay us. That's the whole story.
Your bureau, your audience, your data. Bureau is built so each customer is fully isolated, every secret is encrypted, and sensitive data is handled with restraint. We're a young, bootstrapped company — we'd rather tell you plainly what is and isn't in place than claim certifications we haven't earned.
Every customer's articles, subscribers, and credentials live in their own isolated space. Nobody else's bureau can see yours, and nobody at Bureau is poking around in it either.
Your AI keys and connection credentials are encrypted with a separate key per customer, decrypted only at the moment we make the API call, and never written to logs.
For private briefings, the AI reads the raw email, chat thread, or document, writes a summary, then drops the original. You can opt in to retain raw data per source if you ever need to.
We don't yet have a SOC 2 audit, and we won't claim one until we do. If your security team needs that certification today, we should talk before you sign up. Otherwise, the architecture above is the substance of our promise — and the full security page spells out exactly what is and isn't in place.
A public news outlet, or a private daily briefing, in three minutes — on your own domain, on your own terms.
